TOP 10 THINGS YOU CAN DO!
So the March is over...here are 10 ways you can HARNESS THE ENERGY and MOVE FORWARD
1. REGISTER TO VOTE!
If you are not registered to vote, now is the time! You can even register online at www.ss.ca.gov.
2. REGISTER YOUR FRIENDS
Get 10 of your unregistered friends to register to vote, too! Anyone who has changed their name, address, or party affiliation should re-register.
3. JOIN THE CHOICE ACTION NETWORK (CAN)
If you haven’t already, sign up for CAN to receive updates on reproductive rights issues and information on how you can continue to make a change. Also, in an effort to save money, CAN will soon be the only way we will communicate with our network.
4. ACTIVATE YOUR CIRCLE
Set up your own pro-choice webpage to get your friends and family involved in the pro-choice movement for the long haul! Share your March stories and energy and ask 10 friends to take action on the latest campaigns to protect our right to choose.
5. BE VOCAL
Write letters to the editors, call in to talk radio programs, and let your pro-choice voice be heard.
6. HOST A HOUSE PARTY
Have an informal gathering of friends and/or colleagues to learn, discuss, educate, and motivate each other to get active to influence the outcome this November. We will help you with materials and talking points.
7. CONTACT YOUR LEGISLATOR
Letter writing is an important and easy political act you can take to effectively influence your elected representatives and have your voice be heard.
8. BE AN ELECTION VOLUNTEER
This is a critical year for protecting choice. Sign up to help identify and register voters, walk precincts, call voters and educate them about the pro-choice candidates, and help those candidates win!
9. DISPLAY YOUR PRO-CHOICE PRIDE
Put a pro-choice poster in your window, put a bumper sticker on your car, wear a button on your jacket. Let everyone know you’re pro-choice and you’re proud! You can find great gear at www.prochoiceproject.com.
10. DONATE
We cannot do the work we do without your generous support. Your donation will help ensure that California women’s right to choose and right to privacy will never disappear.
