(AP) An abortion rights group official says women in South Dakota have only a 60 percent chance of finding the "morning-after pill" at their local pharmacies.
Casey Murschel of NARAL Pro-Choice South Dakota says that's like going to gas stations and only 6 out of 10 actually have gasoline.
Murschel who is a former state lawmaker says a recent survey by her group found that 111 of 181 pharmacies in the state stock the morning-after pill.
The pill to ensure that women who've had unprotected sex do not become pregnant has been available over the counter for about a year.
It is available only to females who are at least 18 years old.
