STATEMENT OF CALIFORNIA TREASURER PHIL ANGELIDES REGARDING THE OPENING OF NEW NARAL CHAPTER “NARAL PRO-CHOICE CALIFORNIA”
Sacramento, CA – California State Treasurer Phil Angelides today issued the following statement regarding the opening of NARAL Pro-Choice California, a new statewide chapter of NARAL Pro-Choice America:
“As State Treasurer, as a husband, and as the father of three daughters, I have always stood firmly and passionately for a woman’s right to choose. I am deeply concerned by the renewed attack on women’s reproductive rights and welcome NARAL’s new chapter to lead Californians in continuing to strongly defend this important freedom.”
